Long-term Exchange (1 month plus)

Happy to exchange from 2 to 3 months as we are now retired.

Our home is one of two townhouses in central Hamilton overlooking Lake Rotoroa. There is a pleasant 4km walkway around the lake outside our front gate. Our house consists of 2 double bedrooms and a bathroom/toilet upstairs and small conservatory off the master bedroom and an open plan living area (Kitchen, dining/lounge) downstairs also another bathroom combined with a laundry. A conservatory off the lounge opens out onto a patio facing the lake with a BBQ, seating and spa pool area overlooking the garden. A single garage is attached to the home with internal access. We have a mixture of antique and modern furnishings. We have recently redecorated the interior of our home. A kayak is available for use on the lake.

The magical Hobbiton Movie set is close by as is the famous limestone caves of Waitomo. I am a retired teacher of mathematics and Sheridan my wife has retired from being a Midwife and lactation Consultant. We have 3 adult children and 4 adorable grandchildren. Both of us are keen travellers and in 1996 our whole family spent a year in Ontario, Canada on a teacher exchange. In 2004 as a couple we completed another year long teacher exchange to a rural township in Cornwall, England. We also took the opportunity to live in Dubai for 14 months to help our daughter and son-in-law on their journey into parenthood. I have been a Rotarian for 4 years and love to go lake or ocean fishing with friends. We both enjoy the outdoors and when able tramp (hike) in our native bush or national parks. Sheridan enjoys Zumba classes.
