Our 1930s detached 3 bedroomed house is situated in a quiet residential area overlooking the beautiful Mayfield Valley. We are south facing and enjoy a light and airy through kitchen, dining and living space which give good views of our mature garden. Flowers, shrubs and lawn make the garden an inviting area in which to sit, eat and relax. A front facing sitting room offers a quiet haven for watching the TV and winding down in the evenings. Downstairs also consists of a study, utility room and hall. Upstairs we have a master bedroom with ensuite bath and shower room, two further double bedrooms, toilet and shower room. All bedrooms are south facing and enjoy views across the valley.
Sheffield is a vibrant, friendly, multicultural city with a host of leisure, cultural and sporting facilities. Uniquely sitting on the edge of the Peak District it provides easy access to stunning scenery, outdoor activities and visitor attractions. Home of the Crucible Theatre, voted the best regional theatre in the country.
Within 5mins walk there is a small supermarket, post office, newsagent and variety of shops. There are many enjoyable walks from the house either out towards the Peak District or through the woodland parks towards the city and the cosmopolitan area of Hunters Bar with its bars, cafes, delis and assorted independent shops. Ten minutes drive will take you into the city centre and 5mins in the opposite direction will take you into the beautiful Peak District National Park. Public transport links to the city centre are excellent and rail links to London frequent (2 hr journey). Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and East Coast resorts are all within a day visit. Served by Manchester, East Midlands and Doncaster airports.
