Bush and riverside walks are easily accessible, and will take you up to the city’s lookout, to Whangarei Falls, or to the yacht harbour and Quayside, where you’ll find fantastic cafes, restaurants, art galleries and boutique stores.
Our comfortable, 3 bedroom family home has been lovingly restored and modernized, and has everything you need. Each of our 3 bedrooms has either a king bed, a queen bed, or two single beds. It’s a lovely warm house as it faces the afternoon sun, and in winter you can turn on the heat-pump or light the fire. An extensive deck with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, is perfect for summer days and evenings.

Walking and hiking options are also plentiful and popular in our area, and will take you “off the beaten track”, through conservation areas and significant stands of native New Zealand bush, as well as to several walk-in-only beaches. If you are a keen to get out on the water, then a trip out to the world-renowned Poor Knights’ Islands Marine Reserve is an absolute must-do for sightseeing, a spot of world-class diving or snorkeling.
Golf is another popular pastime and with 5 golf courses either in the city or within a half hour drive, there’s plenty of choice and variety to keep you playing for weeks.
