A small ancient and beautiful town surrounded bylakes. About 10.000
Sorø is founded by monks in the 11'th Century. We live close to the train station and 3 km from Sorø. Bus every hour to Sorø,trains every half hour to Copenhagen with its wonderful 1700 century buildings, canals, museums, opera, ballet and theaters. The founder of Copenhagen was Bishop Absalon who was raised and buried in the cathedral in Sorø. Queen Margrethe I was supposed to be buried here too but her body was kidnapped and taken to the Royal buriel site. For centuries the Sorø Academy has educateded sons of noblemen, politicians, cultural elite artists and diplomats. Today a reputabel boarding school. In spite of Sorøs provincial status you will find an aura of history and culture.

We are a gay couple, retired from work and have the possibility to travel "longterm" - one month/two months/three weeks. Bogi is a Medical doctor, Consultant, specialist in Gastroenterology, and Soren has retired from the University of Copenhagen as a Housing Co-Ordinator for international exchange students. Bogi is 68 years and Soren is 59 years. We have spent 33 wonderful years together. Now we have the time to spend weeks/months in a foreign country and experience the culture, mentality, language, history, food, art and architecture. We are outgoing, polite and careful about handling the house/apartment we exchange. In case we do not exchange, we always welcome guests in our home for dinner or to stay.
