Home Exchange, Long-term Exchange (1 month plus), Mid-term Exchange (2-4 weeks), Short-term Exchange (2-5 days), Open to offers

We are Richard and Kate and are both actively retired. We have travelled extensively and would be happy to exchange for two or three months. We are open to offers of exchange and had a successful exchange 4 years ago between New Zealand and England. Currently we are looking for a one month exchange in South West France for June or July 2021.

Having relocated from New Zealand, we recently purchased our two-bedroom duplex apartment in Harrogate. Our home is warm, comfortable and of a high specification. On the ground floor is the lounge which has views onto The Stray, an area of 200 acres of flat, walkable, parkland. It is comfortably furnished and we have a 65" flat-screen TV with Netflix. Also on ground level is the shower room which has recently been completely refurbished with extra- large shower. On the same floor is a bookcase (plenty to read) and one of the two double bedrooms with a super-king bed and fitted wardrobe. Stairs lead down to the second double bedroom, second toilet and the kitchen/dining area with double doors that lead to a small sitting area. The kitchen offers a large fridge, integrated washing machine and dishwasher and a Rangemaster Oven.

Harrogate Leeds/Bradford
Yes

Harrogate is ideal for a short city break - probably five days as this would allow you to visit plenty of historic sites nearby. There is a train station in Harrogate and York and Leeds are each 30 minutes away by train. Leeds is good for shopping, theatre and a day-out. Historic York has the Viking Centre, York Minster, excellent shops and the famous Shambles. Knaresborough is 10 minutes by bus and has a castle ruin and boating on the River Nidd.

Harrogate is in North Yorkshire and on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and the North Yorkshire Moors. We offer shopping, walking, plenty of restaurants and cafes, small theatre, movie cinemas and the opportunity to explore the Park and the Moors. Nearby small towns offer weekly markets and places to explore include Knaresborough, Masham, North Allerton, Wetherby, Skipton, Ripon and Thirsk.
Walking the Dales is popular in the summer months... Swaledale, Nidderdale and Wharfedale.

Richard and I love travelling, having visited India, Peru, Vietnam, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Greece, Turkey, America, Hong Kong, South Africa and lots of Europe.  I lived in New Zealand for 21 years and have worked in tourism, teaching, journalism and writing.  I have written, produced and directed two comedy plays (in NZ and the UK) and have written a novel called BEING DAISY.   I love exploring geneology and recently discovered that my 26th Great Grandparents are Henry II of England and Eleanor of Aquitaine. Richard had his own business in I.T. for over 20 years.  We met 10 years ago and recently married.  We love theatre, reading, decorating, walking, meeting friends, cooking, exploring the Yorkshire Dales and France.  We are open to all offers of exchange in most countries.
