One of only 7 Cornish granite cottages (the centre one of three) dating back to 1850 in this tiny hamlet near to dramatic cliffs and the Cornish Coastal walking Path. This cosy 2 bedroom cottage sleeps 4 (in 1 large brass bed and 2 x 3ft single beds)and has an upstairs shower and bathroom, and a further downstairs toilet, a large dining room, sitting room with wood burner and recently refitted kitchen. There is also a small conservatory. The cottage is heated by electric night store heaters. There is parking outside the cottage by the garden gate. POLDARK is filmed here.

Truro is the nearest city which is 30 miles drive away from the cottage. Plymouth is the next city which is further up and 2 hours by train.
POLDARK is filmed right here. Located in a stunning cliff top World Heritage area and the historic Levant and Geevor tin mines. Stunning sea views from the cottage. Good pubs and restaurants in the area and a local shop. This is an ideal area for wild and marine life and bird watching and for keen walkers as the coastal path is close to the cottage and the entire West Penwith peninsular can be walked in stages. This is an ancient area of celtic legends and archeological wonders. 5 miles from Penzance and St Ives and on a bus route too. This is the very end of the UK, next stop America. Ideal for writers or artists and a long let of six months or more would be considered as well as for a short swap.

Cape Cornwall: I learnt to play golf here. It is said that if anyone can play this course, then they can play anywhere. The winds are ferocious. But the view is stunning and sometimes in the summer there are adder snakes on the greens so do not retrieve balls from the stone hedges.

Now that I am retired, age 67, fit and able, I am able to enjoy my hobby of travel and photography almost on a full time basis. I am explorer by heart and very keen on islands, their history and culture. I don't have any pets now but I would be happy to mind others. I am a keen and knowledgable gardener - having won awards in the past. Being near the sea is very important to me and I would prefer swap with a property that has a sea view.
