We hope you will love Estrella Del Mar and Mazatlan as much as we do! It offers the luxury of quiet reading by the pool, strolling along the beach and collecting sand dollars, laughing with new friends as you play pickleball, and the excitement of fine dining in the city. Stone Island offers dining on the beach, horseback riding, kayaking and parasailing. The golf course has hosted the Latin PGA championships and yet you can enjoy it without a huge crowd--and very affordably. It is a beautiful place with a vibrant culture. Our condo is on the third floor (top) with a year-round sunset view. It has 2 bedrooms--one with a king bed and one with 2 twins that can be converted into a king. Each bedroom has a bathroom attached and there is a 1/2 bath off of the living area. It has an ocean view so you can hear the ocean if you leave the sliding glass door open. The kitchen is modern and fully stocked with dishes, staples, spices and herbs. We often barbecue on the deck--perfect!

Historic downtown with opera house and weekend outdoor eating and music. Shopping in the Golden Zone. Amazing dining in fine restaurants or casually on the beach. Great beach parties.
It's a historic capital--with a beautiful historic district and a monthly art walk. It's a beach resort where you can ride horses, kayak, parasail or party. It's a lively, romantic town where you can go to the opera and then enjoy a drink on the rooftop of a hotel. There are wonderful dining options downtown and colorful villages in the mountains. You can shop in the golden zone, walk the malecon, explore the outdoor markets or just relax on the beach. Whatever you look for in a Mexican vacation is on the menu in Mazatlan. Returning travelers rave about the welcoming Mazatlecos, who treat you like old amigos, as well as the beaches, the food, the weather, the music and the feeling of never wanting to leave.

We are two retired attorneys who love to travel to meet the people, try different foods, see the art, hear the music, and learn about the history of the area. When we do a home exchange it is especially nice to get to know people who live there. Our first exchange was in 1992--we went to Scotland. It was wonderful to feel welcomed into the community-to walk with the retired postman, play golf with a local banker, and host a barbeque for our Scottish friends at the end of our stay.
