There is a hot tub in the private yard and a BBQ on the patio adjacent to the kitchen. The house has a wide screen TV, DVR, VCR, and Wifi. San Luis Obispo is a city of approx. 45,000. There is a university and college in town which adds another 25,000 to the population. The local airport connects with 3 other major cities (SF, LA, and Phoenix). Tourism, agriculture, governmental services and high tech businesses are economic giants.

San Luis Obispo (SLO) is on the Central Coast of California half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. It has the climate that is Mediterranean with an average year round temperature of 70 degrees. The area is ideal for sports enthusiasts (water sports, hiking, biking, golfing, tennis). Our beaches are lovely and perfect for sunning, swimming, and surfing. SLO is a burgeoning wine region with over 150 wineries. Local farmers' markets, weekly cultural events, and frequent music and wine festivals are held here. Our local mission was built in the late 1700's and is in the heart of downtown SLO. Hearst Castle is close by. We are only 1.5 hours from Santa Barbara and 4 hours from Los Angeles or San Francisco

I am a retired college administrator and my husband, Budd, is a retired banker. We are both Rotarians. We have travelled extensively around the world and enjoy meeting interesting people and experiencing other places and cultures. We love our home and the care we take is apparent. When we do house exchanges, you can be assured that we will care for your home as we care for ours and we expect that you will do the same. We love the out of doors, walking and hiking, good food and wine, music and dancing (especially tango), and we especially enjoy being able to continuously learn and grow through our travels.
