Our island home is no more. Very sad situation. Please help the people of the Bahamas recover if you can.

Man O War is in the "family" islands accessed through Marsh Harbour airport on Great Abaco. This little CBS house has 3 bedrooms 2 baths, AC and wonderful caretakers. It's nothing fancy. We spend most of our time snorkeling, diving, catching fish and chilling out. There is cable TV and Internet. We have a golf cart (for rent option) and do a lot of walking. We have a 27' Tiara Pursuit for fishing, diving, touring other islands. Boat rentals available from MOW or Marsh Harbour.

Man O War is a little island about 3 miles long and 1/2 mile wide. Started after the US Patriots kicked out the loyalists five families left South Carolina for MOW. They build boats and sails and live a quiet life. Nice god-fearing folks. Great fishing, diving, snorkeling, no crowds. https://www.vrbo.com/590254 Check it out.

There are two markets on the island, no alcohol is sold and no hotels. It is just beautiful, quiet and the people are charming and welcoming. This property is usually a VRBO (Vacation Rental by Owner) or HomeAway rental https://www.vrbo.com/590254 and the full details and photos are posted here. Exchange is an option.

We fly from PBI (West Palm Beach) about 80 minute flight or FtL airport to Marsh Harbour. From there take a taxi to the Ferry Service Terminal. We usually pick up provisions at one of the larger supermarkets and stop at the liquor store too. Driver will wait no problem. Ferries to MOW Cay run about 4 - 5 times per day, check schedule to plan ahead or pick up a rental boat.

Larry and I are both Rotarians,  he is a PDG  2006-07 and I am a PP 2009-10. We have enjoyed two home exchanges (France and Spain) and numerous hostings w the Rotary Travel & host fellowship. Because we homehost DGEs every year before the International Assembly in San Diego with our  Vero Beach Homestay program, we have visited many DGE friends in South Africa, NZ, UK, Sweden, Australia, Spain. Actually would like to see Canada (Calgary, Vancouvrt) and West USA this summer/Fall. We love learning about new cultures and appreciate history and architecture when we travel to world cities and love the peace and beauty of the countryside whenever possible.
