Lake Chapala Mexico house
ID #2850
Two bedroom house in the exclusive Racquet Club near Ajijic, Mexico. House has recently been refurbished and furnished anew. The house has a two car garage, pleasant garden area, and a view to die for. The house faces south towards Mt. Colima, an active volcano which is visible when it often grumbles, sending plumes of ash skyward. Fortunately, the volcano is located 100 kms away and the prevailing wind keeps the ash from blowing in our direction. Included in the exchange is our maid and gardener.
San Juan Cosala is the town below the Racquet Club and has a population of around 6000. Whereas, Guadalajara has a few million. Great for shopping but not for driving in my view. San Juan Cosala is where most of the R.C. Domestic staff live. Most of the locals, whether they are gringos or Mexicans are very friendly.
This area is noted as having the second best climate in the world, partially due to the influence of Lake Chapala and our elevation 5200'. The Racquet Club is a guarded community (private security force 24/7) The R.C water comes from a hot water acquifer and the pool is filled three days a week with warm water and all the houses have their reservoirs replenished with hot water thrice a week. There are four clay tennis courts, six pickle ball courts, two tile courts, table tennis, squash courts available. There is plenty of hiking, bicycling, and exploring to do in the area. To access the Lake Chapala area you fly into Guadalajara airport and take a taxi to the house. About a thirty minute ride and a cost of about 300 p.
Nearest golf course - Nearest golf is about 8 kms away
I'm not a golfer so can't offer any information.
