The beach is peaceful. There is a horsetrek company a few minutes drive from our house, a local fish n' chip takeaway store,a gas station,& a small cafe/restaurant. An easy 40 minutes drive to Rotorua - a popular NZ tourist destination (thermal hot pools, redwood forest, mountainbiking, river rafting, adventure sport & culture)
