Hilo is the second largest city in the Hawaiian islands and, sitting under Mauna Kea and on Hilo Bay, it is noted for its beauty and authenticity. Hilo is in a time warp - hence its charm. There are several museums, botanical gardens, waterfalls, art galleries, etc. to enjoy in Hilo and its environs.
Our home is on the east side of the Big Island of Hawaii. Five miles from the quaint village of Pahoa and twenty minutes from beautiful Hilo. We are a 10 minute drive through a gorgeous mango grove from surfing, fishing, hot ponds, snorkeling, black sand beach, hot lava viewing, etc.
