I have a second home in Palm Desert California, 500 miles south where the weather is much warmer in the winter.
This house I rent month to month from Sept to April. Info: http://tonymreynolds.com/sun-corral-trail/

My home is located a short distance from San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. This is a typical single story California rancher built in the mid 1950s. It has been remodeled throughout but the original structure has not been altered. Some rooms have been enlarged or combined and picture windows, sliding doors and 2 patios added. It is essentially two large bedroom areas on opposite ends of the house each with its own bath, linked by the kitchen. It is ideal for two couples, offering an amount of privacy for each. The garden has a gas fire pit, mature fruit trees, redwoods and maples to provide shade. Sorry no standard TV, only wifi. Very nice stereo sound system with CDs and records. A laptop will be available for streaming Netflix and Spotify.

San Francisco San Francisco Oakland

San Francisco by car, bus, or ferry is easy. Highway 101 is within walking distance and commuter buses run often. The Larkspur Landing Ferry is 6 miles away Uber cars everywhere. However, if you plan to fully enjoy the Bay Area and go to the many beaches, Mountains, Napa Sonoma Valley or Oakland Berkeley you will need a car. Public transportation to these areas is often spotty with many transfers to get where you want to go if there is public transportation at all.

This neighborhood is in the East end of Lucas Valley between the Pacific Ocean and the S.F.Bay. Some of the best weather in the Bay Area. This area of Marin County has limited development therefore there has plenty of open space to hike and enjoy nature or drive to the city in 20 min. The house is located 16 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge and 36 miles south of Napa Valley and Sonoma. Point Reyes National Seashore and Tamalpais State Park are nearby. It's a great hiking and bird watching area. Bus transportation is available nearby, but best to have a car to better enjoy more of what Northern California has to offer.

The map marker is a general indicator of the local area only.
Boating/Sailing, Fishing, Golf, Sightseeing, Skiing, Spectator Sports, Tennis, Theme Parks, Walking

Nearest course is Stone Tree. There are many golf courses in the Bay Area with Stone Tree being 6 miles away.

I am single and have recently retired from a still ongoing family business that my son operates here in San Rafael.  I generally travel alone and prefer medium to large cities. I'm a ceramic artist and always interested in local art scenes when I travel. I also hike and bird watch most every day here in Marin. My son is an avid hiker too and offered to help you get started on the many trails and bird watching areas near my home and the surrounding Pt. Reyes National Seashore.
