Waikanae is part of the Kapiti Coast which is the sunshine coast for Wellington. Has a warm micro-climate. There are alarge number of activities available here with many walking tracks, Kapiti Island bird sanctuary, 4 golf courses within 20kms, fishing, and many more. Good train line to the City. Very good cafes and restaurants.
