Waterfall with pond and mountain wild landscape with beautiful summer flowers.

Durango is small with less than 16,000 people and is very western by nature. It features unique shops, national American art, jewelry of all styles, and more exceptional restaurants per capita than San Francisco. It is rated regularly in the top 10 of American small cities. Restored historic, victorian buildings and hotels.

Falls Creek Ranch is a private community not open to motorcycles, snowmobiles or ATVs. More than 900 acres with only 100 1-acre homesite with open meadows and homes hidden in the tall ponderosas. Miles of hiking trails and cross-country ski trails in season. Private lake is stocked with trout. Approximately 90 miles from Mesa Verde National Park home of world-famous Native American ruins and only 45 miles to Salmon Ruins in Aztec, New Mexico. Chaco Canyon is 1.5 hours south and is a world historical astrological Native American ruin site. Gold medal trout fishing in the San Juan and Animas river. World class kayak course with great rafting waters. Mining tours nearby and great jeep/4-wheel drive roads to explore

We like to hike, visit wineries, explore via car and public transportation. Appreciate high speed WIFI, art, museums, music, parks, boating, and relaxing. We enjoy reading and walks in the evening.
