For lovers of culture and history our position close to London and to the two great university cities of Oxford and Cambridge makes Bedford an idea central point. London has so many great attractions there is not enough space to list them all.
Bedford is situated roughly one hours drive from London, Cambridge, Oxford and Stratford-upon-Avon making it central to some of England's most historic towns and cities. There is a fast train service into central London and easy access to major motorways. The town and surrounding area is also rich in history and culture.

Both David and Ellie are professionals (education and finance)and are experienced world travellers. Dave has now taken early retirement meaning for the first time in 40 years he can vacation outside of the school terms! Hooray for new horizons and new opportunities! We have considerable experience of home exchanges in USA and Europe and particularly enjoy being part of the real world rather than being in the isolated bubble of a hotel suite or a holiday rental. We are still open to offers in 2017 but are really looking for big opportunities in 2018. We are provisionally travelling in India in the early part of 2018 but have lots of time to visit other places too. Forward planning and optimism prevail!
