McCall is a small, low-key city with a population of 4,300. People love decompressing here. There's lots to do outdoors and enough shopping and dining options to keep most folks happy, including a great sushi restaurant and pubs with outdoor music and lake views.

In the summer, rent a boat and waterski or just chill out on the lake. Bring a picnic to the beaches. Escape to the wilderness for hiking and fishing. Ride mountain bike trails through beautiful evergreen forests (some close enough you ride to them from the garage). There's also world-class kayaking down the Payette River, golf courses, and summer music festivals.

In the winter, Brundage ski area is a 20-minute drive away, and Tamarack ski area is a half hour away. There's lots of cross-country skiing and snowmobiling around town. A regionally famous winter carnival in February features spectacular snow sculptures, dog sled racing, a parade, and general revelry around town. Downtown, there's ice skating, hockey and curling.

McCall Golf Club (https://www.mccallgolfclub.com/) is less than a mile from the townhome. It's a nice, city-run course with challenging holes amid ponderosa pine trees, water hazards, and hills.

Jug Mountain Ranch and MeadowCreek Golf Resort are very good, privately run courses open to the public. Both are within 15-25 minute drives, respectively.

We are a couple in our 50s, with two boys who are now off on their own. I'm retired from the semiconductor industry and my wife raises money for non-profit organizations. We would consider house swapping almost anywhere new to us. In particular, we love the outdoors, and seek places convenient to hiking, beaching, skiing, or other outdoor activities. We also love exploring cities, so if you're well-located in an urban area, please get in touch as well. My wife, Liz, is in her mid-50s and I'm in my late 50s. We pride ourselves in treating other people's homes as we would our own, if not better. We made good friends from previous swaps (from a different web site), and hope to do so again here!
