AUCKLAND is NZ"s largest city by far : population close to 1.5million or one third of NZ.
NZ is a little larger than UK
or Japan hence there is a lot of empty space - most of it very scenic.

Milford is a modern village on Auckland's North Shore situated between a lake and the sea. Very little is more than two storeys high and most shops and restaurants can be reached with a 5 to 7 minute flat walk from our house. Life is easy here.
The beach is sandy and safe - no vices such as rips, rocks or holes - also no predators.
No spiders or snakes or other creature threats. A small marina is across the road. There are super walks along the coastline, rewarded by good coffee and/or ice cream and various bakery items, or restaurants if preferred. NZ has more beaches and golf courses than might easily be counted. many are within a 5 to 35 minute drive from our house. Please feel welcome to seek more specific detail

The map marker is a general indicator of the local area only.
Boating/Sailing, Fishing, Horse riding, Sightseeing, Spectator Sports, Tennis, Walking

Colin and Robin are semi retired but maintain some business interests. Colin's field has mainly involved textiles. Robin's most recent business was boutique golf tours but she now simply plays to try to reduce a 16 handicap. We love to travel to see new places or re-visit favourites from past trips. We greatly enjoy meeting new people and are keen on food and wine. Our principal recreation is golf ; we have played well over 100 courses spread over several countries, but mostly in our own which boasts some 450 courses. Many are in spectacular settings. We are happy to discuss splitting a visitor's time at our houses thus enabling a base for wider exploration of our beautiful islands. Please feel welcome to discuss with us
