Well-kept home close to Atlantic Beach and Fort Macon State Park, which offer plenty of parking for a relaxing day at the beach. The master bedroom has a king size bed and the other rooms have queen size beds. All the bedrooms have walk-in closets. A screened back porch allows enjoying morning coffee and evening beverages outside. A grill on the deck, and our well-appointed kitchen, lets you cook up the catch of the day. Or if you want to go out, the area is full of great restaurants. We also have our primary residence in Raleigh, NC which is available for exchange.

Local events include: Beaufort Pirate invasion, the Morehead Seafood Festival, Big Rock Blue Marlin Fishing Tournament, Fort Macon tours, Morehead City Marlins baseball games, fireworks multiple times per year in Morehead City and Atlantic Beach, and concerts at the Morehead City waterfront Jaycees Park.

Located on the Crystal Coast of North Carolina, everything is just a short drive away. We have miles of public beaches to enjoy sunbathing, taking long walks, swim, or enjoy surf fishing. Ferries can take you out to spend the day at the beaches of Shackleford Island, the Cape Lookout Lighthouse, or Bear Island. You are likely to see wild horses on Shackleford Island. There are many options of boats for hire if you want to go fishing in the ocean. For the bargain hunter there are many thrift shops, consignment stores, and antique shops. The area supports an active arts community, with numerous art galleries and art festivals. Get up early and enjoy the sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean - there's nothing like it!

Rich and Sue Lewis are newly retired. I am a 20 year Rotary member, a past president and worked as a Chiropractor. Sue was a mental health counselor. We are active with snow skiing, golf, hiking and fishing. I have hosted several group study exchange members previously and found it to be a great experience. We look forward to seeing more of the world and experience the local cultures. I have two grown children. For hosting and exchanges it would just be Sue and I.
