3 bedrooms and 2 baths, best for 4 people, all on one floor in yeard with citrus trees in a quiet neighborhood. on the outskirts of kapaa on the Garden Island of Kauai in Hawaii. All sorts of water and land activities nearby. Actually the whole island is nearby! One and a half hours is the longest trip up to the Waimea Canyon. or less than an hour to the town of Hanalei. Many movies filmed here: Jurassic Park, South Pacific, and the latest one with The Rock. There is a small emergency room a mile from my home, if you have health concerns or a highly rated hospital in Lihue about 11 miles away. Lots of shops all over and Kapaa town has the most foot traffic on Kauai. Lihue has the malls and a four plex cinema. Several large grocery stores in Kapaa including Safeway and Foodland. Can't really pick a continent! We are halfway to Asia and to the Mainland US but we are the 50th state in the union. So you will feel the exotic pull of Asian culture and food but the comfort of the States
Honolulu but different islandLihue Airport has some direct flights from the mainland, others stop in Honolulu

Beaches all over and one only a mile away. Beautiful mountains in the center of the island. Small towns scattered along the coast. Road does not go around the island so you "do" Kauai at least once in each direction from my home! Summer weather may go up to 90 F but we have ocean breezes. I have fans overhead in each major room of my home. We wear comfortable clothes all the time and at most you need a jumper. Many lifeguarded beaches make it safe for your family.

I am an experienced exchanger with over 80 . I am a retired teacher/school .counselor. I have lived in Hawaii for 50 years, all on Kauai. I have a son who owns a surf shop in Kapaa and is currently living part time in Bali. I usually do two consecutive exchanges every summer because I have the time and since the distance is so far. I'm 75 this year and over half of my exchanges have been in the UK. My dad was born near Liverpool so I have a British passport. I'm used to driving over there. I lead a quiet life and enjoy joining the library, attending WI meetings, and making friends. I visit three different friends on Anglesey every year. I figure to stop exchanging after a few more years. My home is typical middle class and comfortable. I have a sweet little dog who goes to a friends but if anyone wants company that can be arranged. I have an exchange for August of this year and I'm looking for someone to do either July or September..
