Situated in the Haute Vienne department of Nouvelle-Aquitaine (in what used to be the Limousin until changes to French regional areas in 2017), in the heart of Le Parc Naturel Perigord-Limousin. A quiet, rural retreat yet just 2 kms from the village of St Mathieu with supermarket, bakers, 2 bars/restaurants, newsagent, bank, post office and petrol station. 5 mins from St Mathieu Lake with beach, summer swimming & crazy golf.
There are 2 other wonderful lakes withing a 20 minute drive - wonderful for walks and picnic. Nearby Piegut (15 min drive) hosts a busy street market every Wednesday morning. Within an hour you can visit the cities of Limoges, Angouleme and Perigueux.

English couple in their early 60's, who after careers in the public & private sectors, relocated to France in January 2009 to run a rural B&B and gite (holiday home) rental business. It's our gite that we offer as our exchange property. Other than at short notice, this is not available in July and August. Non-simultaneous exchange often suits us best - as we can visit outside our busy season. We are interested in exchanges in northern & central Spain and all parts of France, Italy, Scandanavia, Crete and Thailand. We have made several previous home exchange holidays including Brittany in France plus the Okanagan Valley in Canada. We have just completed a 6 week trip to New Zealand and Australia in Feb/March 2019 that featured 4 different non simultaneous home exchanges. We regularly visit the UK to see Gail's elderly father and are particularly interested in exchange properties where we could visit with him in June or September 2019.
