Gloucester is the nearest city with a lovely Cathedral and home to scenes from Harry Potter. The Docks area is a more recent addition to its attractions and well worth a visit. It has a modern shopping precinct, a cinema and "Tall Ships" can often be found there. Birmingham, Bristol and Bath are within easy reach. Each has its own attractions. For Roman history enthusiast Bath is amazing, Bristol has a wonderful docks area and Birmingham, I believe, is good for shopping, as I am sure they all are.

Cheltenham is the centre of the Cotswolds. It is a beautiful area with rolling hills. Cheltenham itself is a delightful town with many interesting characteristics including a Georgian Cresent, parks etc. It hosts many and varied festivals including Jazz, Science, Literary and Music where guests of world fame perform. In the surrounding area we have two castles, the world famous Slimbridge Wildlife Trust and beautiful Cotswold villages such as Bourton on the Water and Broadway. We have two theatres and also in easy reach of Stratford upon Avon. Gloucester, with its famous Cathedral in just 10 miles away and well worth a visit. Birmingham and Bristol are also within easy reach - about 40-45 miles. London is approximately 115 miles away

Ian and Linda are happily retired teachers with two amazing children (Neil and Eleanor) and one grandchild, Grace. Ian is 70 and Linda 69.  We are not new to house exchanges and have travelled widely in Britain and even to Canada and latterly New Zealand. As well as being committed Christians we live an active lifestyle. Ian is deep into his sport, especially rugby, and any exchangers will benefit from the full sporting TV package. Linda loves to cook and is happy when cooking for large numbers and is an avid reader. When on breaks we enjoy walking and spending time with the local people. We both love the sea but are happy to be in scenic areas.
