Mid-term Exchange (2-4 weeks), Open to offers, Non-simultaneous Exchange
We live 30 minutes from the Trans Canada Highway and 45 minutes from the nearest larger town. That means we live in a peaceful and quiet place. We call our home Friedensfeld West, because it is like a field of peace. We have one nearer neighbour but otherwise we are quite secluded, especially after the busy July and August months are over. Our main availability will be in Sept - Nov. and April - June. In summer our kids and grandkids come to visit. We have a master bedroom with a queen size bed, two other bedrooms with single beds and a pull-out sofabed in the back of the house in case you come with family. There's a living room with TV, a wood stove for cooler days, and a large kitchen with fridge, stove and dishwasher. A full-size washer/dryer are also available and a clothesline if you prefer that fresh-air smell. The yard has a swingset and trampoline, a playhouse and firepit. We have two beehives for a hobby, and lots of space to meander and walk around.

We are a tourist area in summer; lots of folk have summer homes here. There are a few of us who are "year 'rounders". So spring and fall are perfect times to visit. If you just like the quiet rest, you can spend all your time here at the house. But if you like adventure, there is white water rafting, boating, and camping nearby. There are many golf courses in the area from beginner to challenging, there is a motorcycle museum nearby and a heritage museum in Salmon Arm.

Gordon and I are a retired couple who have enjoyed traveling for work during our lifetime. We have relatives in Netherlands and friends in various parts of Europe and India. We are both 66 years old, still active and live on 2.5 acres in the beautiful interior of BC, Canada. My husband is a writer and retired teacher. I like to do crafts and watercolors. We keep a couple of bee hives for a hobby and grow fruit in the summer. We like hiking and walking along the trails near our home, or walk down to the beach for a swim in the summer. I love antiques and my husband loves books! We enjoy sightseeing on vacation, creating our own walks and tours and meandering markets and towns.
