Description

Our apartment in Brisbane is a 3 Bed/1 Bathroom city unit in the very leafy suburb of Ascot on the northside close to Brisbane International and Interstate airports. We are close to Eagle Farm Racecourse and Racecourse Road shopping and restaurant area. We have a Mazda 3 manual sedan that is also available to swap if required. We are very close to public transport (about 150 metres) to a bus service to Brisbane City centre (about 12 mins. away). We are also close to the rail network that will take you to Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast and Brisbane Airport). We are about 5 mins. walk to the Brisbane River and a fast ferry service into the City and Southbank Entertainment area. We are approx. 1 hours drive north to the Sunshine Coast and all its' beaches and approx. 1 hours drive south to the Gold Coast and all its' beaches. Our apartment is comfortably air-conditioned for the warmer Summer weather and heated for the occasional cold nights in Winter.

Local Area

Ascot has a village like atmosphere with tree-lined wide streets and roads. Very close to the Brisbane River and a very vibrant and efficient ferry service via the water. Racecourse Road, just around the corner from us is lit up at night with soft romantic lighting in the trees. The abundance of many varied Restaurants makes it a very popular place for locals and visitors to the area. We have every bank at our doorstep and two moderately sized Supermarkets for all you culinary needs. We also have a very good library and plenty of coffee shops to sit and ponder the world around. Ascot is a very area to Brisbane is only 10 mins. drive to the Brisbane International and Interstate Airports.

About We are a retired couple with two properties, (a house in Montville and a 3 bed apartment in Brisbane), that we would love to exchange (one or both). Diana is a retired Registered Nurse (Maternity) and I am a retired Project Manager with 40 years experience in the Queensland Power Industry. We both love to travel and explore new surroundings. In the past we have exchanged four times and all exchanges have been very enjoyable and successful to all parties concerned. We are very proud of our properties and look after them with care, as we would do with any home.
