Located between Englishman River and Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park, our home is a close walk to the Estuary and large sandy beach where you will see a wide variety of bird life, especially noted for the spring Brant Bird Festival. If you enjoy golfing, home is a short drive to three different courses in Parksville. After a exciting day of building sandcastles, exploring the numerous parks and shopping in Parksville, relax in our two person jacuzzi. Our garden offers a quiet place to reflect on your days adventure. We would only like to exchange houses with other couples (so we have one bedroom and one bathroom that you can use on the home exchange) and we have a friendly dog and some plants in the garden which need some care taking (open for discussion).
Our home is only a 35 minute drive from the Departure Bay ferry from Vancouver.
We live in a quiet safe neighborhood only a few minutes walking distance away from Rathtrevor Beach Provincial Park. Additionally we are a short distance from tourist destinations such as Little Qualicum Falls, Cathedral Grove and Coombs old country market.
Victoria is a 2 hour drive South from our location, where you can do a lot of activities like dolphin & whale watching, seaplane flights, visit the Butchard Gardens / Craigdarroch Castle and much more. Also Tofino is only a 2.5 hours dirve away from Parksville.
Tofino is famous for its natural wonders from ocean floor to mountain peak. If you are intrested in seeing some wildlife like bears and whales or go on a guided fishing tour or even have a more relaxing time at the hot spring cove - you should definite visit Tofino.
Vancouver Island's mild climate is ideal for golfing almost all year round. There are three golf courses in Parksville (Brigadoon Golf Course, Fairwinds Golf Club, Morningstar Golf Club) and another three at Qualicum Beach (Arrowsmith Golf & Country Club, Eaglecrest Golf Club, Phesant Glen Golf Resort, Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club).
