Fort Lauderdale Palm Beach, Fort Lauderdale or Miami airport

50 minutes from the city of Miami, 25 minutes from Fort Lauderdale, 25 minutes from Palm Beach, about 3 hours from Orlando, 2 hours from the west coast of Florida

We are 6 miles from the beach or a short 15 minute drive. There are hundreds of miles of pristine sandy beaches along the East coast of Florida. It is a 3 hour drive to Orlando where some attractions are still open in the winter. Winter here averages 20 C to 24 C and the water temperature is typically 22 C. Most of the tourism is in these cooler months since it is not oppressive humidity like the summer and fall, plus it much more likely to be sunny for long stretches of time. Hurricanes are non-existent at this time of year. To the south is Fort Lauderdale, Miami (South Beach) and the Florida Keys. A drive to Key West is a possibility. The west coast of Florida also has hundreds of miles of beaches. But this is a small fraction of what is in Florida. Go on YouTube and search for tourism videos for a more complete guide. Take a look at this site to see the local beach live and the fish found here underwater. https://www.deerfield-beach.com/1474/Beach-Cameras

By the time the home exchange takes place, we will both be retired, so we are looking to travel on the limited funds of retirement. :< We do like to dive and that is actually the prime reason we moved to Florida, so we will be looking for an exchange where that is a possibility. We are non-smoking and would like to make sure that you don't smoke as well. While we have never exchanged homes, we think it is a great way to see the world on a budget.
