Many day hikes from Dunedin itself, less than 30 mins to trackhead as well as more further inland on Rock and Pillar ranges, the Great Walks and Mount Cook/Aorangi region. Friendly very active tramping club welcomes visitors

Dunedin is a beautiful small city , New Zealand’s oldest city with historic buildings and university campus. It is the gateway for much natural beauty such as the albatross colony on the Peninsula, sea lions and seal regularly seen on the beach’s, spectacular cliffs and walking tracks- beachside and surrounding hillside. It is a pleasant city with many golf course, cafe and restaurants to indulge.

Otago Golf club is New Zealand’s oldest golf club established by the early settlers Scots with mature trees and elevated aspect - even a bad round is enjoyable! All golf courses are at reasonable prices, easy to get a tee time, or just show up in the afternoon. High-end and ‘stunning in every way’ golf courses are available inland in Wanaka and Queenstown - a great weekend breakaway.
