Towcester ( pronounced Toaster) is a small market town, of Roman origin, semi- rural, with a variety of shops, cafes, restaurants and supermarkets, all within easy walking of our home. It also has a Horse and Greyhound Racecourse, Museum, and a Brewery based in an old Mill where they host special evenings. It is centrally located for several cities and many, many picturesque villages. Milton Keynes station , 20 mins drive, has fast rail links to London ( 30 mins to London Euston) and all areas of the country. Here cinemas, theatres, galleries can be found as well as in many other towns close by. The canal network can be seen in the pretty village of Stoke Bruerne, where you can hire a canal boat for a day or longer if you wish. Stowe ( National Trust) with it's beautiful house and gardens is a few minutes drive away as are several other National Trust properties.

We are Judith and Jeff, a retired engineer and librarian, in our mid 60s.  We have done 2 previous house swaps albeit many years ago. Equally happy being rural, by the coast or in a City, we feel we are now at the ideal time of life to embrace new experiences and areas.  There are many many destinations still on our 'to do list'! And probably some we don't even know about yet!  Though we are more or less sorted holiday wise for 2017 we are keen to start planning beyond the end of the year.   We would like to visit the Ontario/ Vermont region specifically sometime during the next couple of years but apart from that are open to all offers! If it were possible we may be a group of 4 adults, rather than 2, on occasion - subject to prior agreement naturally! As our home is currently undergoing some refurbishment I have posted a few photos of Towcester instead for now. House pics to follow very soon!
