Buderim was settled in 1862 and is the oldest established European settlement on the Sunshine Coast. It is 180m above sea level at its highest point and although it is not really a mountain it has been known as Buderim Mountain since the early days.
Buderim Village overlooks the entire Sunshine Coast from Buderim Mountain. It has the best of both worlds - the lush rainforest, breathtaking view and cool sea breezes. If you are not up for a little shopping, you can go natural on Buderim, any day of the year and take in the natural attractions of Buderim Mountain! Take a wander through the Buderim Forest to see the waterfall, have a picnic in Lions Park, the Foote Sanctuary, Wirreanda Park or take a walk down the old Tramway track site. Also nearby are the following attractions - Big Pineapple, Australia Zoo, Aussie World, Ginger Factory, the charming mountain villages of Montville, Maleny and Mapleton.
