AucklandAuckland or Hamilton
Within 10 minutes drive there are cafes, restaurants, museums, bush walks and a Saturday market. Thames is called the gateway to the Coromandel with many beautiful beaches to be found within a day's travel from our place. In the Coromandel region there are potteries and many artists to visit. The Barry Brickell steam train and Water Works are not to be missed. There is lots of public transport from Thames itself which would get you around the area and to airports.

We are a retired couple looking forward to seeing some new parts of the world. Colin was a social worker and Frances is still involved as a primary teacher. We have a cosy 3 bedroomed bungalow within walking distance of a safe swimming beach. Our home is situated close to the town of Thames which is often referred to as the gateway to the Coromandel Pennisula. Also we are one hour from Auckland and Hamilton Airports. Thames is close to many beaches including surf beaches. We enjoy gardening and have many different types of flowers in mainly cottage style garden beds. Fishing is also a hobby and there's nothing better than catching our own dinner.Colin enjoys bee keeping and we have a few hives in the garden.
